Slashes Zeros are frequently used in technical files to distinguish between an O (letter O) and a 0 (digit 0). (the number 0). In order to make it clear to the reader that this should not be confused with the letter zero, the zero has been slashed.
Also used on road signs and in construction to ensure that drivers and construction workers are not confused about the meaning of the sign when they are driving or working.
There are three different methods for inserting the slashed zero into your Microsoft Word document. Once you have inserted a single slashed zero, you can make it an autocorrect option so that you do not have to repeat the process every time you see a slashed zero in your future documents.
The following steps will demonstrate how to manually insert a slashed zero into your Word document, as well as how to program the slashed zero into your autocorrect for easy access later on.

Adding A Slashed Zero To Your Autocorrect
You can add the slashed zero to your autocorrect list to have it available at a moment’s notice. This will save you from having to go through the above five steps every time you want to insert a slashed zero in Word.
Make a copy of the slashed zero. Insert a new paragraph here. Advanced Symbol can be found by selecting it from the drop-down menu. Locate and click on the slashed zero symbols to begin.
Insert the appropriate key. The standard zero should have been transformed into a slashed zero by this point.
Slash Zero Alt Code
The alt code for the Slashed O (or O with a slash) Symbol is 0216.
Because there is no dedicated key on the keyboard for the Slashed O symbol, you can still type it by using the Alt code method. If you want to do this, hold down the Alt key while pressing the Slashed O Symbol Alt code (0216) on the numeric keypad.
This method is only compatible with Windows. Additionally, your keyboard must include a numeric keypad, as shown in the illustration below.
The following is a step-by-step breakdown of the procedures you can use to type the Slashed O sign on your Windows computer:
Locate the O with a slash symbol where you need it and insert your insertion pointer there.
Hold down one of the Alt keys on your keyboard for a few seconds.
While still holding down the Alt key, enter the Slashed O alt code into the keyboard (0216). To enter the alternate code, you must use the numeric keypad. When using a laptop with no numeric keypad, you may find that this method does not work properly for you. Depending on the laptop, there may be a hidden numeric keypad that can be accessed by pressing the keys Fn+NmLk on the keyboard.
The Slash O symbol will be inserted into your document after you have released the Alt key after typing the Alt code.
Using the Alt Code method, you can type this symbol in Word in the following manner.
